A South Korean military fighter jet has crashed in the country's southeastern region. The statuses of the two pilots on board are yet to be confirmed. The F-15K fighter jet took off from a military airbase in Daegu city and crashed in Chilgok county an hour later at about 2:30 p.m.
The plane was on its way back to the base after finishing a mission, when the accident occurred. It is believed that the aircraft had crashed within a mountainous region. A search and rescue operation is ongoing.
