A series of rare photos showing a Julia heleconia butterfly on the head of a Yacare caiman crocodile shot by photographer Wim van den Heever in Pantanal, Brazil are absolutely captivating!

The butterfly can be seen trying to drink the salt from the caiman’s eyes. Rather than being annoyed, the caiman seems to be at ease.

It could be because the caiman crocodile needs some way to get rid of the extra salt in its eyes, and its little friend is happy to help!
