At least 14 killed, 30 injured in twin bombings in Cameroon

At least 14 people were killed and over 30 others injured after two suicide bombers blew themselves up in northeastern Cameroon, AFP reported citing security sources.
The bombings, which took place on Wednesday night in Waza near the Nigerian border, targeted a busy area in the market town, sources said.
Midjiyawa Bakari, the governor for the Far North region where the attack took place, said two women walked into a busy area in the center of Waza and carried out the attack.
Many of the injured are reportedly in a serious condition.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, but the region has been a frequent target of Boko Haram militants in their eight-year bid to carve out an Islamic caliphate beyond Nigeria.
Six civilians were killed in mid-June in a double suicide attack in Kolofata, and two others died in Limani at the start of last month when a female bomber blew herself up near the town's public school.
Some 200,000 Cameroonians from the Far North region have fled their homes in fear of the violence.
