This charming baby elephant is “Yang Niu.” She suffered an umbilical cord infection soon after birth, giving her symptoms of heart failure. She was eventually taken home by someone who worked at the Asian Elephant Stock Breeding and Rescue Center in China's Yunnan Province. Under the center’s care, the Asian elephant is now 2 years old, and weighs 480 kilograms.
