A fire that broke out in an abandoned warehouse in Daxing district, southern Beijing, on Wednesday afternoon has been put out, with no casualties reported.
Photos taken earlier on Wednesday and circulating online show thick black plumes of smoke billowing from a building.
The Beijing fire department responded to the incident at 3:42 p.m. and the fire was brought under control around 40 minutes later.
According to the fire department, the warehouse was in the process of being demolished.
But it is unclear what caused the fire and local authorities are assessing the damage.
A blaze that ripped through a residential building in Daxing last month killed 19 people, mostly migrant workers, and injured eight others.
The Beijing government ordered a 40-day citywide safety check following the November incident.
