China lose curling mixed doubles tiebreaker in PyeongChang Olympics

China failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the Winter Olympics mixed doubles curling after losing to Norway 9-7 in a tiebreaker in the event’s round robin session on Sunday evening.

Both teams finished round-robin action with a 4-3 record. Norway now advance to face top-seeded Canada, and China finished their mixed doubles trip in fifth place. 
China opened the match with two quick points in the first end, but Norway fought back to a lead and led till the end.

“We committed too many faults in two of the ends, and our opponents were able to take advantage,” said Chinese curler Ba Dexin.
“Norway showed their ability as a world powerhouse in this event. But I feel so special to participate in the Olympic Games… I believe we showed China’s spirit during the competition," Ba added.
