An intoxicated driver went from running away from the cops to needing their help after he jumped into a river in the eastern Chinese city of Fuyang during a police chase. The man tried to cross the river, but after swimming for half an hour, he was out of energy. Police tried to rescue him, but the driver refused to cooperate. Eventually, he was arrested and taken to the police station. He was fined 2,500 yuan (nearly 380 US dollars) and had his license suspended for six months.
