Man wearing explosive belt shot in Spain

A man wearing an explosive belt has been shot in the Spanish municipality of Subirats to the west of Barcelona, local media report.

Public television has said that the man could be Younes Abouyaaqoub, the suspect of Thursday's terror attack in Barcelona which saw 15 people killed after a van drove into pedestrians on Las Ramblas.

A police investigation into the incident is currently underway.
