Chinese Spring Festival: Tourism revenue up 11.6% in first 4 days of holiday

We start our program with the Spring Festival holidays. It's the fourth day of the Chinese Lunar New Year and the holiday is already half over. Transport authorities predict that from Monday, major domestic railway stations will be hit by the first peak of returning passengers.
Meanwhile, holiday sightseeing seems to be a new trend for an increasing number of Chinese during their Spring Festival break. Figures from tourism authorities show, since last Thursday, the country's sightseeing spots have hosted 287 million visitors. The tourism revenue during the 4-day period hit 352 billion yuan, up more than 11 percent from last year.
