Leaders from the Ministry of Science and Technology answered questions today about China's focus on innovation. Minister Wan Gang said the country is transitioning from following the world's trends  to setting them. He added science and technology are key tools to supply-side structural reforms and to revitalize rural areas. He also detailed plans from China's strategy to develop Artificial Intelligence.
