Since June 29, 11 provinces on the Chinese mainland have been affected by floods and landslides, leading to more than 50 deaths and affecting over 10 million people.
A total of 27,000 houses have collapsed and 37,000 more have been damaged.
Sichuan, Jiangxi, Guizhou, Hunan, Zhejiang and Jilin provinces are amongst the hardest hit.
On Thursday, another six people were killed due to a massive flood in northwest China's Shaanxi Province. More than 350 trapped residents were rescued as well. The local government launched a grade-I emergency flood response and rescue operations are still ongoing.
