The 2018 China International Information Communication Technology Expo has kicked off in Beijing. The three-day event draws over 400 exhibitors and some 60,000 visitors for the latest trends in the sector. Zheng Yibing has the details from the largest such expo in Asia.  
The annual expo on Information Communication Technology, or ICT, opens in Beijing.
It has the theme of "Digitalization and Intelligence", and shows new products, technologies and concepts.
MIAO YU MINISTER OF INDUSTRY & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY "This expo will demonstrate trends as the economy transitions into one driven by data, Internet-based connectivity, deep artificial intelligence, and innovation in high-end production."
Noting the fast development of the industry, an expert said during a forum that changes are needed to welcome the 50th anniversary of the first appearance of the internet, which will come next year.

But the most important part of the expo is technologies. There are many new examples.
With the new progress, remote control of production lines from far away becomes reality.

And people can have the virtual reality experience from a museum even at home.

Such progress is happening not only in the network infrastructure, but in artificial intelligence, cloud and data, and smart city construction.
They will be seen by some 60,000 visitors until Friday.
