Seven dead, two missing as landslide hits NW China's Gansu Province

At least seven people died and two others went missing in a massive landslide that struck Wenxian County in Longnan City, northwest China's Gansu Province, on Tuesday morning, Xinhua News Agency reported.
The landslide was triggered by torrential rain that pummeled the county from Sunday night to Monday morning.
Nearly 1,000 people have been evacuated to safe areas and rescue operation is currently underway.
