Beijing Fashion Week came to an end at the capital's Phoenix Media Center on Thursday. The art of Jingtailan, also known as Cloisonne, took the center stage at the closing show.
Top awards for fashion brands, designers and models were also handed out at the ceremony.
China's rich traditional arts never stop inspiring fashion designers, and at the closing show of this year's Beijing Fashion Week, cloisonne art was blended into modern designs by Beijing's local brand "Pure Touch".
The vivid patterns and fine craftsmanship became eye-catching decorations on gowns, dresses, jackets, cloaks as well as men's suits.

The application of white, black, yellow, green, and other colors helped the clothes portray an easy to come by energy and vitality.
"Cloisonne art is a cultural icon of Beijing. It's listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. I think its beauty should not only be seen on sculptures, porcelain or jewelry pieces. So I used the elements in this collection. And it turned out to be amazingly beautiful on clothes. I hope in this way to let the younger generation get to know this art," Zhu Ya'nan, designer of the "Pure Touch" brand, told CGTN.
An awards ceremony was also held, with Hu Yingying and Liu Xingyu taking home the Best
Supermodel Award.

Actor-turned designer Yu Shaoxun was given the Excellent Designer award.
The top "Forbidden City Brand Award" was taken home by local brands "Snow Lotus" and "Pure Touch".
Beijing Fashion Week was first held last year and it aims to promote domestic fashion and give local designers a platform on which to shine.
"This is the second edition of Beijing Fashion Week. It's just the beginning. Give it time, I believe the event will one day become as influential as the New York, London, Paris, and Milan fashion weeks," said Wu Li, president of the Organizing Committee of Beijing Fashion Week.
Although there is still a long way to go, Beijing has already hit the ground running.
