China vows 'maximum efforts' to denuclearize Korean Peninsula

China welcomes the recent easing of tensions on the Korean Peninsula and will continue to make "maximum efforts" to promote the denuclearization of the peninsula and peace and stability in the region, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said on Tuesday.
Li made the remarks at a press conference after the conclusion of China's annual legislative session in Beijing.
The Chinese premier urged all relevant parties to show their sincerity in promoting dialogue and consultation over the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue, adding that the denuclearization of the peninsula and regional peace and stability are in every party's interest.
