US President Donald Trump took to Twitter to once again criticize the special counsel’s investigation into his election campaign and administration.
In a series of tweets he blasted his critics and claimed that the recent indictment of Russians had vindicated him from accusations of colluding with Russians.
On Sunday, he tweeted: “If it was the GOAL of Russia to create discord, disruption and chaos within the US then, with all of the Committee Hearings, Investigations and Party hatred, they have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. They are laughing their asses off in Moscow. Get smart America!”

His tweet storm came two days after the US Justice Department announced the indictments of 13 Russian individuals and three Russian companies for their alleged attempts to interfere in the 2016 US election.
In other tweets, Trump took aim at former President Barack Obama, the FBI, and Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.
Schiff shot back during a televised interview, saying much more could still come out of the Russia investigation.
"This is a president who claims vindication any time someone sneezes. What this indictment sets out is information about only one element of the Russia active measures campaign that involves their use of social media to influence attitudes, to motivate people to protest, to essentially infiltrate our political system through the cyber sphere,” said Schiff.

Trump did concede that Russia interfered in the election, but repeated his claim that there is no evidence of collusion between his election campaign and the Russians.
He wrote: "The Russian 'hoax' was that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia – it never did!”
In all his Twitter activity, Trump critics point to what we haven’t seen from the president – which is any criticism of Russia for what the special counsel found to be an elaborate program to undermine a US election.
