Wei Fenghe, Wang Yong, Wang Yi, Xiao Jie and Zhao Kezhi, nominated by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, were endorsed as state councilors by lawmakers at the first session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) on Monday morning.
Xiao Jie was also appointed secretary-general of the State Council.
