During the fourth Silk Road International Film Festival, which recently drew its curtain in the city of Fuzhou, Fujian Province, organizers held a forum that discussed how films are boosting cultural exchanges.

Chinese actor and director Chen Sicheng shared his experience when shooting a film in the US.
"Many of our co-workers in the US are older and more experienced than us. Some of the senior directors and producers are in their 50s, but the oldest one on our side is only in his early 40s," said Chen.
US film producer Mitchell Peck shared his opinion in terms of manuscript development and Hollywood film production.

He also tackled the Chinese film industry.
"The best advice I can give is to tell stories from the front lines of today's China, not yesterday's China, because even in America, we are not interested in yesterday's America. We are interested in the present and the future," said Peck.
The forum held discussions with film translators and scholars on how to achieve cultural integration through movies.
