The classic production, "Women Generals of the Yang Family," tells the story of one family's fight against the invasion of Western Xia forces during the Northern Song Dynasty.
The main character Mu Guiying, general Yang Wenguang's mother, has a grudge against the emperor. But persuaded by her compatriots, the patriotic general agrees to lead the army and battle the invaders.
The leading actress Guo Fanjia said: "The stage background is gorgeous. The generals' roles are fully realized and magnificent visual effects are achieved. The story is full of ups and downs. I believe this play can touch the audience. The artistic power goes beyond the limitations of language. "
Beautiful costumes, elaborate makeup, enchanting voices and lively combat scenes fascinated Russian opera fans.
Victor, one audience member said: "The performers' actions are stylized, but I am still really fascinated by it. After seeing Peking Opera, I can see the charm of Chinese culture. I admire China's art and culture."
