Cosmologist Stephen Hawking, one of the world's finest scientific minds, died at the age of 76 on Wednesday. He researched the origins of the universe, the prospect of time travel, and the mysteries of space's black holes among other cosmic phenomena. Hawking shot to international fame after the 1988 publication of "A Brief History of Time", and his life was adapted for the big screen in 2014 when "The Theory of Everything" hit the theaters.
