Xi Jinping was elected president of China over the weekend, and global leaders have been sending him their best wishes over the past few days.
The Brazilian president, Michel Temer said: "I am willing to make joint efforts with you, to strengthen our strategic partnership and promote mutual development."
Argentina President Mauricio Macri said: "Through your leadership, China is heading steadily towards rejuvenation. I sincerely hope, on the road to realizing the Chinese dream, China can step into a glorious new era."
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan echoed those sentiments: "Through your leadership, China has made a great progress. Relations between China and Turkey have also made important progress. I believe China can continue to be successful in the new era. I am full of confidence about our countries' relationship".
Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi said she was happy about Xi's election win, and it presented an opportunity to further develop their friendly relations."
The executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab said: "China's achievements in development and the role it has played in dealing with global challenges has drawn the world's attention. Your election as the president of China has shown how the Chinese people advocate your wise leadership. I believe, under your leadership, China can have a brighter future."
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump also congratulated Xi on his election win.
