A herd of 13 wild elephants were found stealing from a small village in southwest China's Yunnan Province. They were seen eating from banana trees and stealing corn from the local farmers.
Villagers believed the frequent visit for this group of wild animals was due to the ripe season for corn, one of the animals' favorite foods.
This event raised high concerns from farmers who would soon harvest their crops on Sunday, in Manlaojie Village of Pu'er City.
The local forestry bureau has increased the security for the village and sent experts to spread knowledge about the wild animals. Meanwhile, they set up six surveillance cameras to track the group so that they can take timely precautions.
