This year's Mid-Autumn Festival will surely be memorable for Li Qinyao, a conductor who works for southwest China's Chengdu passenger train service.
On her way home on Wednesday, riding the bus as usual, she saw a flustered man who got on the bus holding a crying baby through the back door. Without paying any money, the man directly sat on the seat and strongly slapped the toddler on his back to stop the baby from crying.
Seeing the child was only wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt in the cool weather, and the man was without any caring equipment but just a tiny bag, Li right away suspected the relationship between the man and the baby.

Experienced with passenger behaviors and cases of child trafficking on trains, she was almost assured that the man was a human trafficker. Upon analyzing the present situation, Li thought that there is high possibility that the man will head to the train station and leave the city.
To guarantee the safety of the child and having proper procedure, Li phoned the police when she got off the bus and told them of her suspicions. Later, the child was successfully found at the train station and was reportedly returned to his family.
Police and the family called Li to tell her they are happy with what she did. Li wasn't informed, however, whether the man was arrested or if there were any charges made.
