The world's first 1100-kv UHVDC (ultra high voltage direct current) transmission line was completed on Sunday as the last large-span tower was completed over the Yangtze River in east China's Anhui Province.  The transmission line starts from the Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and ends in the town of Guquan, Wuhu City in east China's Anhui, totaling 3304.7 kilometers with a transmission capacity of 12 million kw.
