Children in hardship include those who are orphaned and living in extreme poverty. The Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs estimates that, overall, millions of children in China fall into this category. On June 16th, 2016, the Chinese State Council issued a guideline on taking better care of these children. But more needs to be done. CGTN reporters took a trip to Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, to meet two of these "children in hardship".
