President Assad says Syria won't forget Russian support

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said his country will not forget Russia's support, during a visit to the Russian-run Hmeimim Air Base in the northern Syrian city of Latakia.
Assad toured the base and praised Russian troops for helping "their brothers of the Syrian army" against terrorists.
The visit came at a sensitive time, with the White House warning of "potential preparations for another chemical weapons attack" by Syrian government forces.
