The action taken by France, Britain and the United States in launching "calibrated and proportionate strikes" against Syrian President Bashar Assad's chemical weapons capabilities was "entirely the right thing to do," Britain's Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said on Monday. He said the strikes were "not an attempt to change the tide of the war in Syria or to have regime change or to get rid of Bashar al-Assad."
