A prison in Australia has created an art program to prevent indigenous prisoners from becoming repeat offenders. Those in the program say being able to create art has given them the self-worth and confidence to integrate back into society after their sentence is up. Last year, indigenous prison art earned more than two-hundred thousand US dollars. Now, more than 200 art pieces are being displayed and sold. The proceeds go to supporting the artists when they leave.
