China's top legislature decides on premier and elects supervisory and judiciary heads

The first session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) is holding a plenary meeting on Sunday in Beijing.
During the meeting, nearly 3,000 NPC deputies have voted to approve the nomination of Li Keqiang, by President Xi Jinping, as the premier at the ongoing session.
Xu Qiliang and Zhang Youxia were also endorsed as vice chairpersons of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the People's Republic of China at the meeting.
Yang Xiaodu was elected director of China’s National Supervisory Commission.
Zhou Qiang was elected president of the Supreme People's Court and Zhang Jun was elected procurator-general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
