Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi will pay an official visit to China from February 8 to 10, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said on Monday.
Retno Marsudi will meet with Chinese top leaders during the visit. She will hold a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and co-chair the third meeting of China-Indonesia inter-governmental coordinating committee.
The two sides will mainly discuss bilateral relations, China-ASEAN relations and exchange views on regional and international issues with common concern.
Sino-Indonesian relations are developing with a good momentum at present, with two sides maintaining close high-level exchanges and deepened political mutual trust, while pragmatic cooperation continues to expand and people-to-people contacts are also increasing, said Geng.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with Indonesian President Joko Widodo on several occasions and reached important consensus on strengthening the development of strategic cooperation in Belt and Road Initiative.
This year marks the fifth year of the establishment of China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and also the 15th anniversary of China-ASEAN strategic partnership, said Geng, adding that bilateral relations are facing new opportunities.
