Senior Chinese military officer commits suicide

Zhang Yang, a member of the Central Military Commission (CMC), committed suicide at his home in Beijing on November 23 after authorities launched a corruption investigation into his ties with disgraced military chiefs Guo Boxiong and Xu Caihou, the CMC said on Tuesday.
