Teenage snooker player, China's Yan Bingtao, shocked the world by beating five-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan on Monday.
O'Sullivan was thrashed 6-1 by the 17-year-old at the International Open in Daqing, northeast China. He failed to pot a ball in the final four frames of his first-round loss.
"Yan played fantastically well. Maybe only Stephen Hendry and John Higgins have played that well against me before," said O'Sullivan. "I didn't do that much wrong apart from missing a couple of balls."
Yan, who was excited after his victory, admitted that he even surprised himself.
"I performed better than I thought I would," he said. "I hope I can become more calm and mature on the court in the future."
This is not the first time that Yan has defeated one of the world’s top players. He beat World number one Mark Selby at the Welsh Open in February.
