Travelers looking for a new adventure might consider looking up for their next voyage in a few years’ time. Houston-based Orion Span is building the world’s first “luxury space hotel” with the opening date set for 2022. Aurora Station, a modular space station named after the light phenomenon that illuminates the earth’s polar skies, will fit six people, including two crew members. Before taking off, travelers need to go through a three-month Orion Span Astronaut Certification (OSAC) program to get them astronaut-ready. The hotel will orbit the earth every 90 minutes, which means that visitors can see the sunset and sunrise 16 times a day on average. /Photo via China News
