Fashion Beijing exhibition hopes to turn Beijing into the next fashion city

Looking at fashion as revolutionary and innovative, the Beijing Exhibition Center is hosting Fashion Beijing, a breathtaking international fashion and art exhibition from Jan. 12 to Jan. 15, with elegant designs from both China and Europe.

“We all know fashion cities such as New York, Paris, Milan, and what we are working on is to make Beijing the next fashion city,” the President of the China Hi-tech Group Corporation Zhang Jie told CGTN.

“Following the guidance of the Belt and Road Initiative, we want to demonstrate fashion in our own way, and let the world know the unique oriental beauty,” Zhang added.
The hall of the Silk Road Story displays an array of delicate silk dresses, where visitors can see the beauty of the smooth material. 
Across the Silk Road hall, there are many fine artworks from Europe made of high porcelain – perfect examples of the harmonious union between Chinese and Western art.

“To promote international fashion exchange and communication is one of our main goals. Let the creative design of the world gather in Beijing is the spirit of becoming the next fashion city,” said Zhang.
