Universal League of Public Welfare: Chinese painter Li Zijian wins Gold Medal

The Universal League of Public Welfare has recognized 17 people from around the globe for their outstanding contributions in various fields. The ceremony was held at headquarters of the French Republican Guards. Chinese painter Li Zijian was awarded the Gold Medal.

Li Zijian has been living in the United States for decades. His works, with their themes of humanity and love, have moved many people. The Universal League of Public Welfare was established in 1464 in France. It was made a UN non-governmental organization in 1949. The League awards medals to those who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of public welfare, culture, arts and science.
