Being re-elected shows approval and encouragement, says Xi

Re-election as general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is "not just approval of my work, but also encouragement that will spur me on," said Xi Jinping on Wednesday.
Xi made the remarks as the newly-elected members of the Standing Committee of the 19th CPC Central Committee Political Bureau met Chinese and foreign journalists.
Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Wang Huning, Zhao Leji and Han Zheng were elected members of the Standing Committee of the 19th CPC Central Committee Political Bureau at the first plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee on Wednesday morning.
