A week-long hot air balloon festival in Lingwu city, northwestern China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region blew to a close on Sunday. Over 100 pilots with 32 hot air balloons, along with six delta wing aircraft, took part in the event, which began on July 31 in the Baijitan National Desert Park. One of the most eye-catching activities held at the event was a hot air balloon flying competition. Apart from this, visitors also had the opportunity to board the hot air balloons to get a bird's eye view of the breathtaking scenery of the desert park.
