The United States has sharply condemned a plan by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to test-fire an intercontinental ballistic missile. The plan was unveiled by Kim Jong Un during a speech to his country. He says the DPRK is close to testing a long-range missile that will be capable of crossing the Pacific to reach American soil.
