China's Assistant Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong will pay a visit to Zimbabwe from November 29 to 30 as a special envoy of the Chinese government, at the invitation of the government of Zimbabwe, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang made the announcement at a daily briefing on Tuesday four days after Mnangagwa was sworn in as the president of Zimbabwe.
Geng added that China is willing to join hands with Zimbabwe to move forward with China-Zimbabwe friendly relations and cooperation in the principle of equality, mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.
