During this annual Spring Festival travel rush, or Chunyun, an estimated 2.89 billion passenger trips are expected in a month, mostly by train.
China's fast speed bullet trains are trying to provide a better service by not just installing WiFi and electricity outlets, but also providing delivered meals from local restaurants to the seats of passengers for the first time.
This comes as China’s famously fast delivery firms are working with the bullet trains to allow passengers to order local cuisine cooked by local restaurants when they are passing through the city.
If you are traveling from Beijing to Shanghai, for example, and you suddenly want to have a taste of the Nanjing salted duck on the way, all you need are a few clicks on your mobile phone.

With a fast delivery mobile app, passengers can order dishes from local restaurants at or near the train stations at least 60 minutes before the train reaches the city.
During the one or two minutes’ stop, the delivery man will have already bought the dishes, waited on the platform, and given the orders to the train attendants, who will later bring them to the seats of the passengers.
Consider the high speed of the bullet trains, it is no exaggeration that the fast delivery folks are racing against the world’s fastest trains.
It also makes it possible for passengers to have a bite out of the whole of the nation within just hours.
During the Spring Festival travel rush, the largest human migration on Earth, the long journey home now is much more comfortable, thanks to the high-speed rails-and it has a lot more flavor, thanks to the incredible fast delivery services.
