Tensions are running high following US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Trump's move triggered widespread condemnation from the international community and sparked a wave of protests on the Palestinian territories and elsewhere. On Saturday, Israeli security forces threw stun grenades to disperse a small group of Palestinian protesters in Jerusalem, and confiscated a number of Palestinian flags they were holding. A day earlier, four Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire and dozens more were wounded, along with an Israeli officer, in clashes across the West Bank and near Gaza's border.
