In Syria's Eastern Ghouta, government forces say they are close to taking full control of the last rebel-held area near Damascus.
Residents were preparing to leave, as two out of three rebel groups agreed to surrender after reaching a deal on evacuations. Talks between the Syrian forces and the last rebel group are underway on the final area around Ghouta's largest town. Meanwhile, the Turkish military said it had taken full control of northern Syria's Afrin region.
