Local people say road conditions are poor and they cannot reach the crash site.
LOCAL RESIDENT "The roads here aren't passable. Vehicles are here and lots of people, too. When we heard about it around 11 am or 12 noon, we searched all the village areas, but we didn't find anything."
The plane took off from Tehran early Sunday morning. It disappeared from radar 50 minutes later, and crashed 200 kilometers from its destination, the southwestern city of Yasuj. Iran's leaders have expressed sadness, and condolences to families of the victims. President Hassan Rouhani said he assigned officials to investigate the case. The Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have expressed their sorrow.
