A massive storm is pummelling the eastern coast of the US bringing hurricane-force winds, rain, and snow. Falling trees have killed five people. The storm -- known locally as a "nor'easter" -- is different from normal ones, in that it rotates counter clockwise. From North Carolina to Maine, streets were flooded, transportation was severely affected, and businesses and schools were forced to close early. In upstate New York, the city of Buffalo received a record-breaking 20 centimeters of snow by early Friday. More than eighteen-hundred people had to evacuate their homes.
