An international crayfish festival kicked off Saturday in the city of Qianjiang in China's central Hubei Province, attracting more than 200 enterprises from home and abroad.

The festival includes investment activities, crayfish-related seminars and meetings on e-commerce of aquatic products.

In 2018, the output value of the crayfish-and-rice industry in Qianjiang City reached 32 billion yuan, providing employment opportunities for 150,000 people, and lifting 20,000 people from destitution.
