President Xi arrives in Osaka for G20 summit

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Osaka, Japan, on Thursday for the 14th Group of 20 (G20) summit, which is scheduled to take place on Friday and Saturday.

During his three-day stay, Xi will participate in discussions covering a range of topics from the world economy and trade to climate, energy and environment.

The Chinese president will elaborate on China’s standpoint toward the global economic situation and offer solutions for the current problems.

On the sidelines, Xi will hold meetings with BRICS countries' leaders, trilateral talks with Russian and Indian leaders as well as meetings with African leaders.

Meanwhile, he will also hold bilateral meetings with leaders to deepen cooperation and push forward bilateral relations.

Xi's bilateral meetings also include one with his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump. The two leaders are expected to exchange views on fundamental issues concerning the development of China-U.S. relations.
