During the breeding season of the endangered oriental white storks at the Xingkai Lake National Nature Reserve in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, staff attached tags and GPS equipment to their legs. The GPS monitoring system can provide the bird’s migration data to researchers. According to preliminary observations, more than 130 oriental white storks are expected to be born this year.
