Daxing International Airport (PKX), the Chinese capital's new aviation hub, is all set to start its operations in September.
On Friday, a total of 1,182 passengers, all carrying check-in luggage, experienced the full-scale test run of the airport.
Around 6,000 airport staff members served the passengers during the six-hour trial run.
New-age technologies like electronic bag tag, face-recognition check-in and self-service luggage consigning successfully passed the test run.
A total of six tests will be conducted to ensure smooth functioning of Beijing's second global gateway.
Beijing's Daxing airport is going to be one of the most advanced airports in the world. Check here for a 3D and VR experience of the new airport.
