The Lenghu-Eboliang yardang landform near the town of Lenghu in northwest China's Qinghai Province was formed about 75 million years ago, and covers over 20,000 square kilometers.
Yardang landforms are the result of wind erosion and can be found in dry areas. They are common in northwest China, featuring castle-like structures covered by many ridges and grooves.
