China's Flora Tour: A purple medusa living on the rocky mountain slopes

Mountains on the plateau are always full of mysterious and unknown species. There is a kind of plant looks like a purple jellyfish, the medusa snowrabbiten, which is endemic to the rocky mountain slope over 3,000 meters above sea level. Due to its medical use and overharvesting, this rare species is very hard to be found nowadays.  

China's Flora Tour:

From the wetlands along the coast to dense rainforests hidden in the southwest of China, all boast a wide variety of plant species. In this series, we will go on a tour to learn about some of the most representative flora in different provinces and how they live in harmony with the local geography and climate.
